Amanda O’Connell is a Business Administrator in the Department of Surgery at the University of Chicago. In her role in Surgery Administration, she partners with department and hospital leadership through various quality improvement initiatives, strategic projects, and event planning. Amanda also serves as a front-line manager in General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery and assists with program operations and development. Amanda has actively served in the AASA since joining in 2015 and currently serves as Chair of the Education Committee. She obtained her BBA in Finance from Loyola University Chicago. 

 Amanda is eager to build new relationships with her peers from other institutions and hopes to create an inclusive environment in the organization through the program for the annual conference.
