Colbey Walker has been a member of AASA since 2011 while serving as a Senior Project Administrator for The Johns Hopkins Hospital Department of Surgery and as Division Administrator for the Division of Thoracic Surgery for the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.  Colbey is now the Administrator for the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and, though he has moved on from surgery, continues to find incredible value in the educational content and networking opportunities available through membership in AASA.  Colbey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Texas A&M University, a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Texas A&M University, and is working towards a Doctorate in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.  On the 2016-2017 AASA Board of Directors, Colbey will be serving as the Assistant Chair for the Education Committee, helping to plan, develop, and execute the educational offerings of the organization for the year
